The opportunity:
Having the ability to think critically, influence outcomes and grow a high-performing team, you will be a key leader in our Sydney (Pitt Street Office & WFH) Foresight, Strategy & Impact (FSI) team by.
- influencing business growth,
- leading high-impact projects; and
- shaping evidence-informed solutions across diverse portfolios.
As a client-facing evaluation specialist in a multidisciplinary team, you will be shaping cities and communities by delivering evidence-driven insights and advice to clients working in multiple portfolio areas, including health, education, justice, disability, family and community services, employment and economic development.
The nature of your work is focused on evaluation and research and the provision of strategic advice in tackling complex policy problems.
Outcomes include delivering exceptional client outcomes, developing team capability, and contributing to commercial success through strategic thinking, strong relationship management, and a commitment to quality.

You will be:
A role model within a high-performance team:
- Providing technical and project leadership in your area of expertise, across multiple concurrent social and economic research and evaluation projects to deliver high-quality, client-ready outputs that support complex policy and program outcomes.
- Driving business development by maintaining and expanding client relationships, leading high-quality tenders, fee proposals, and contributing to new work generation through networks and industry engagement.
- Delivering strong commercial outcomes by managing project budgets, ensuring financial discipline, and contributing to forecasting, budgeting, and financial performance.
- Fostering a high-performance culture by coaching, mentoring, and developing team members and supporting talent growth across the practice.
- Meeting and exceeding revenue targets through strong service delivery and proactive project management.
- Monitoring market developments and industry trends, identifying emerging opportunities and helping to shape strategic responses.
- Contributing to national and local strategic FSI projects, taking ownership of assigned initiatives under broader strategic and business plans.
- Supporting Sydney Directors in delivering whole-of-office business plan outcomes.
- Identifying opportunities for cross-disciplinary collaboration by building strong working relationships across teams
Are you?
- Significantly experienced in a private practice or with local council or government?
- Tertiary qualified in law, economics, social science, public policy or a related discipline?
- Able to demonstrate effective leadership and development of your team members?
- Demonstrating capability in identifying and winning new business or building new clients and business in Sydney?
- Offering extensive experience in social policy related roles, with experience in a fast-paced, multi-project consultancy environment (highly regarded)
