As an intern at Urbis, you'll actively contribute to complex and meaningful projects that shape the urban landscape. Working within our accomplished team, you'll gain invaluable insights and make a tangible impact on real-world initiatives. Our student roles provide the flexibility of working 3 - 4 days per week, allowing you to seamlessly integrate your internship with your studies.
As part of the broader Economics & Property team, you will:
- Support team members with client requests and project requirements, escalating to senior staff when needed.
- Build relationships with peers in other Business Units.
- Learn technical aspects of E&P projects, including research, analysis, modelling, data analytics, and database maintenance.
- Present and communicate research findings and data solutions internally.
- Work on multi-disciplinary projects, meeting specifications, deadlines, and budgets.
- Prepare weekly timesheets and input to monthly accounts.
- Contribute to a safe workplace and comply with health, safety, and wellbeing policies.

- Research Analyst
- Assistant Research Analyst
- Assistant Valuer

Specific Role Responsibilities:
As an Assistant Research Analyst, you will:
- Conduct research, analysis, and modelling on property projects.
- Develop knowledge of sites and projects, which may involve travel.
- Compile and provide input into formal written advice and presentations.
As an Assistant Valuer, you will:
- Undertake valuation and property-related tasks independently.
- Attend property inspections with qualified Valuers.
- Research and analyse investment and development transactions.
- Collect details on property sales and rentals.
- Perform financial analysis and cash flow modelling.
- Currently studying a relevant degree (Commerce, Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or API accredited degree).
- Working towards the completion of an accredited valuations course (for Assistant Valuer role).
- Passionate, hardworking, and a great fit for the spirited, collaborative culture at Urbis.
- Proven skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and effective report writing skills.
- Experience with data analytics software (e.g., Microsoft Power BI, Tableau) and coding (e.g., Python, R, VBA, DAX, SQL) is a bonus; online courses in data analytics and spatial analytics skills are highly valued.
About You:
