The Opportunity
Our Creative team is looking for a Wayfinding & Signage Design Lead/Associate Director to drive the growth of our Creative Services. We are a diverse team of creatives looking for an expert to establish a wayfinding and signage practice with strong market potential.
This role involves delivering outstanding client work, securing new business, and meeting billing targets. As a key member of the Creative Services management team, you will also support the development of team members through coaching, mentoring, and effective leadership.
This exciting opportunity is open to those located in Sydney or Brisbane.
In this role, you will:
- Lead and manage external client projects, ensuring budgets and deadlines are met.
- Grow our practice by securing new business opportunities through fee proposals, tenders and internal referrals.
- Partner with our landscape architecture and heritage interpretation experts to design integrated strategies for precincts and places
- Develop and mentor team members, enhancing their skills and career growth through coaching and technical guidance.
- Build and maintain client relationships, generating repeat work and strong professional networks.
- Maintain great commercial hygiene ensuring accurate revenue forecasting and task management.
You will have the following:
- A portfolio of excellent wayfinding and signage outcomes using contemporary design strategies and meeting industry technical standards
- Previous experience in a design/creative/brand studio and/or consultancy environment;
- Tertiary qualifications in graphic design, visual communication or related disciplines;
- 10+ years relevant experience or equivalent experience.
- A proactive approach to building relationships, collaborating with project team members and stakeholders, and providing consultative solutions
- Client-focus and a commercial mindset
- Strong people management skills
- Additional experience delivering desktop publishing, wayfinding and signage, digital experiences, or video and animation projects is preferred.
